Bandwagon jumped

So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get a blog to talk about my knitting and anything related.

Why now?

Well I've been knitting for as long as I can remember, but with the exception of a few family members plus Gemma no one knows about it. Not having much going for me in the anti-geek sense I never felt it wise to give people yet one more excuse to taunt. But I'm older, wiser and really couldn't care less any more so I guess that makes me 'out and proud'.

To date my knitting has produced more blankets than I care to remember (all brightly coloured and donated to Oxfam for distribution in Africa), a couple of bags, the odd soft toy and lots of clothing options for toys when I was little (amazing what those scratchy plastic needles could create when you put your mind to it). After being told for years that I shouldn't try anything more adventurous I've decided to stop listening, and now I'm ready for anything!!
